Ever wanted a Fender John Mayer Strat, but don’t like the 9 ¼” radius or Rosewood fret board?
Me too! I prefer maple necks and the compound radius of ‘modern’ necks for playing; so I swapped out the neck for a Quarter Sawn SRV profile all Maple genuine Fender Lic. replacement neck.
Apart from the neck swap this strat is all Fender John Mayer Artist Series - Serial Number SE07748 - 3 Tone Sunburst 62 Select Alder Body and 62 Tortoise pickguard loaded with the legendary Fender JM “Big Dipper” pickups. (these p/ups sell for more than $400 alone on feAustralialisted)
Naturally, all hardware inc Neck Plate, Screws, Bridge, and Chrome ‘Ashtray’ Bridge Cover are original JM as they should be. Original Swing Tag with matching number included.
No dings, dents or buckle rash.
The new Fender licenced replacement neck is a beautiful One Piece Quarter Sawn Maple neck in a Vintage Tint 100% Nitro gloss finish with an SRV Profile, 6150 medium jumbo nickel frets, 10 - 16” compound radius and black face dots by Warmoth. As required by Fender’s licencing agreement with Warmoth this neck is USA made with exceptional build quality and attention to detail.
The compound radius makes for an effortless playing experience with chording made easy at the tuner end and the 16” radius making positive string bending a breeze for controlled soloing.
The neck is as new but does have a mark near the string tree where the tree was moved back slightly and the original tree hole was filled in. It’s a small cosmetic thing only and in no way affects the neck.
