Gowrie Western Australia has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional Family and Community Centre Coordinator. Based at Gowrie WA’s Family and Community Centre in Leeming, the Coordinator will also perform regular duties at the Gowrie WA Family and Community Centre in Karawara. Minimum 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday. $51,675 per annum (pro-rata)
Gowrie Western Australia has a long and proud history in the provision of high quality early childhood education and care services, effectively integrated with community services for children, families and communities across the Perth metropolitan area.
The role of the Family and Community Centre Coordinator is to work closely with the community to identify needs of children, families and individuals, and to engage with a range of services that will meet those needs and that are consistent with the purpose, vision and values of Gowrie WA. The Coordinator will also be responsible for the day-to-day administration and operations of the centre. You will therefore be capable of multitasking, prioritising and organising your time effectively.
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
• Engaging and consulting with service users and the community
• Planning, implementing and evaluating services and programs according to identified community needs
• Establishing, developing and maintaining linkages (i.e. networks) with appropriate external organisations, agencies and individuals
• Liaising with representatives of user groups
• Taking and maintaining centre bookings
• Designing and developing information sharing material
• Maintaining databases
• Attending to the day-to-day maintenance of the centre
• Preparing information for invoices to be raised
• Writing reports, as requested

• Current First-Aid certificate
Desirable
• Current First-Aid certificate
• Knowledge of community resources and relevant government departments
• Understanding of community work practice and principles
• Working with Children’s Check or Police Clearance
