This is an Oculus Rift Developer Kit 1 (DK1) that I purchased in advance and received in mid 2013. However, the plans I had for it never came to fruition, and I have moved on to other ideas for now.
I only ended up using it twice - once for a couple of hours to tinker, then again at a later date to demonstrate to a visiting family member.
The unit is in perfect condition and works as new - as it has only been used for a total of perhaps 5-6 hours.
Photographs demonstrating that the display screen is in perfect condition have been included for reference.
I can provide a number of completely free programs⁄games (for windows systems) with which you can tinker, and as well as the many programs which have already been made to work with this, I can recommend a 3D interpolation⁄adjustment program which will greatly extend the games available that will work in VR⁄3D (tridef - costs $39.99 USD)
